President and Chief Executive Officer, 8 Rivers Capital, LLC –
Damian has been with 8 Rivers for 10 years, serving as President & CEO since April 2025. Prior
to his current role Damian served as President & Chief Development Officer (2020 – 2025), and
Chief of Staff (2016 – 2020) to the then CEO of both 8 Rivers and NET Power. From 2020 to
2023 Damian served on the Board of NET Power up to its going-public transaction (NPWR/NET
Power is a company for which 8 Rivers is the corporate founder and technology inventor).
Damian developed the revenue generation strategy at 8 Rivers centered on project development
and engineering services in the power sector. Over the life of 8 Rivers Damian has been involved
with several successful capital raises. His entrepreneurial abilities have been highlighted by both
Forbes and Fortune. He has serval awarded and pending patents in various fields. His work in
chemistry has been published and/or featured in Nature Chemistry, Journal of the American
Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie, and C&E News. Damian holds an M.S. in chemistry
from The Ohio State University during which time he received the SciFinder Future Leader in
Chemistry Award from the American Chemical Society and the won the U.S. DOE Clean Energy
Business Plan Prize. His B.S. in chemistry was earned magna cum laude from Kent State
University while a National Science Foundation scholar. In 2016 he received the Outstanding
New Professional Award from his alma mater.
