Head of Product Development, SusMaX
Dr. Robin Deb is a materials scientist and civil engineer specializing in the development of sustainable construction materials, phase change materials (PCMs), and carbon sequestration technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Materials Engineering from Drexel University, where he developed self-heating concrete using low-temperature PCMs for freeze-thaw resilience and deicing applications as part of his dissertation that led to multiple peer-reviewed publications and patents. As Head of Product Development at SusMax Inc., he leads the manufacturing of lightweight aggregate (i.e., SPORA) from waste coal fly ash through a proprietary sintering process. His responsibilities include designing large-scale SPORA production systems, optimizing sintering conditions, evaluating performance through ASTM-compliant testing, and supporting commercialization through life cycle assessments.
